Model Year 2023 XC40 Order Guide

For 2023, the XC40 will no longer be sold in the previously known Momentum, R‑Design and Inscription trims. Instead, there are new equipment levels to choose from (Core, Plus or Ultimate) and exterior executions (Base, Bright, and Dark). Additionally, there will be a limited number of single options available to add on to the different Core, Plus and Ultimate levels.

The end result is more flexibility and customization for you to get a Volvo XC40 that has the equipment and design styling you desire.

2023 Volvo XC40 Engine Updates

WHAT IS A MILD HYBRID?

The 2023 XC40 is equipped with a 48V system, also known as a Mild Hybrid. Mild Hybrid technology helps to use fuel in a more efficient way, it recovers energy generated by braking. When you press the brake pedal or use engine braking, the kinetic energy that otherwise would have been lost in heat is converted into electric energy and fed into the 48V battery. Some additional benefits of the mild hybrid are: a more comfortable driving experience with the engine restarting seamlessly and a smoother acceleration from a standstill.
